Title: Luz Infinato
Infinite Light Mural
A Dios dela Muertas Tribute mandala mural

There are two skulls on each side of the mural.

One is female, one is male. Mandala forms radiate outward from each skull. The mandala have aspects of life and death, Meso American shapes and colors, and aspects of Lake Tahoe. They feature the life cycle of a rose and the life cycle of aspen leaves changing colors.

The mandala's of the female side are tightly wound and begin to loosen and stretch upward to give the feeling of letting go into the infinite as we and all life bodies leave this earth plane from physical to non physical. The female is more in her transition of life and death showing a half painted face and hair. While the masculine side has a saguaro cactus growing through its skull signifying he has passed before the female.

Both skulls have the light spectrum of color beaming out of their 3rd eyes toward each other signifying unity, love, and the infinite-energy-light-information of the soul being carried on. The male skull is screaming sound light into the ethers. This is both to show emotional release from this physical body and to remind the viewer that our work here, no matter how big or small, is effecting this experience right now and for everyone that comes next into this reality.

“I wanted to create a mural here that stopped people in their tracks to reflect on the gratitude they have for being alive, for the ability to co-create, and the people who have blessed our lives past and present. To reflect on the light and darkness of life, and to inspire people to create consciously in their own lives.”

“This piece is dedicated to my grandmother Carol; My guide, my rock, without your love and sacrifice my first 20 years of life would have been a complete nightmare.
I will always love you and we will smile again light to light one day.” - Rory

Tahoe-based artist Rory Canfield has been a creative agent of Fine Art and Sculpture for the last 20 years. Several public murals and community artworks in California are the product of Rory’s brilliant mind and steady hand.

Rory is the founder of Tonic Arts and the Creative Release Process. He has commissioned artwork including community-based beautification projects, restaurant sites, public murals, private commissions, and so on. In addition, he has led several children's art camps and organized school projects guiding many children towards a shared vision. As well as directs private artistic expression in one-on-one sessions.

His style has evolved over the years through a crescendo of ever-expanding perspective, however recognizable. Rory’s works incorporate a preference for brilliant colors, textures, intricate line work and patterns - interlaced with sacred geometry, flowing lines, unique shapes and a palpable sense of movement in the piece.

Each piece offers the viewer a feeling of diving into the subconscious of the individual and the collective consciousness of our human experience. Rory's inspiration is generated as a result of his innate need to express himself through his life experience and self exploration.

From this stems an endless fascination with tapping into the creative process and allowing instinct laced with emotion to guide him towards creating that which has not yet been born.

He wishes to inspire others through the products of his creation to tap into their own expressive outlets to build a thriving, innovative future.

This showcases his artwork for Tremigo Restaurant in Squaw Valley Village, Lake Tahoe, Ca.

Tremigo Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar
Squaw Valley

The Auld Dubliner Restaurant Group was started 15 years ago when Carolyn Nunn opened the Auld Dubliner Irish Pub in The Village at Squaw Valley.

Randy Rogers became one of the first employees and tended bar before he became the general manager 10 years ago, and then in 2016, Randy became a partner in the ownership group. Rachel Graf-McCabe has been the bar manager and floor manager at ‘The Dub’ for several years, and is the third partner at both restaurants.

Tremigo Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar will feature a family friendly authentic Mexican menu created by our experienced chefs Antonio and Veronica Abundiz, who are originally from Guadalajara, Mexico.

The traditional menu will have combination platters, fajitas and tacos. Vegetarian and specialty items will be featured; including housemade chile rellenos, blue corn sopas and Molcajete. Our taco boards are a great option to share four tacos of your choosing with the group.

Tremigo will be using non - GMO corn from the Sacramento Valley for all tortillas & chips and will be using locally sourced products when possible.

Misterio Infinato
Infinite Mystery Sculpture installation for Tremigo Tahoe

A brief description: I carved and sculpted over 1000lbs pounds of concrete plaster for these two large sculptures standing in the middle of Tremigo restuarant. The idea was to dive into the research of ancient artwork of Mesoamerica(Aztec, Maya, Olmec) and create two impactful large stone Pillars.

I wanted to re-create the individual artworks that most intrigued me visually and historicaly into the pillars to create two unique sculptures that exude the feel of authenticity and mystery to the viewer.

At the top of each carved pillar, facing the the Tremigo bar, are large feathered serpent heads. Inspired by the many incredible examples carved at the Temple of the Feathered Serpent in Xochicalco. Each pillar also has smaller carvings of the Mayan symbols of psilocybin, morning glory, and buds of Hemia Salicifolia (which each the Olmec, Mayan, and Aztec alike revered for their spiritual ceremonies).

These sculptures are dedicated to Graham Hancock and the late John Anthony West. Your tireless and passionate work into the truths of our past will forever change the way we create ourselves consciously the into future.
