Ok news has been floating around lately that Sony will not allow Adult companies to put their movies on the new Blu-Ray disc technology they have. This is a huge nail in the coffin for Sony and they are on the way to alienating their format. This is a mistake in my eyes given the current struggle for format wars (Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD).

Adult video sales/rentals in 2006 reached about 3.6 billion in revenue.

Sony has done this before from what I understand with the BetaMax, yet another superior format back in the 90’s but lost out to the generic lower quality VHS format.

The VHS brought porn into the living room back in the 80’s-90’s creating the wank at home option instead of using the movie theater. Porn has continued to push forward with any new type of technology (internet, mobile devices, etc). So if you don’t get on the porn wagon (*cough* US phone carriers) you are losing out on revenue.

Ok last weeks buzz was all about the iPhone but news seems to be still trickling in about this device even though its not do out till some time in June if you can get your hands on one. I wanted to share this video from CBS News because it really shows someone going though the iPhone’s interface and showing off some of the features. This is a great way to actually see how the proximity sensor stuff work on he device.

Here are some of my issues I’m having with the current information of the phone.

Someone sent me an image in email today and I thought I would share it with everyone reading the blog as well. I do have to say it looks fake but after doing some research and seeing the rotation of the object it is possible. The ends are cut off that you would think stick out but they align properly if you look this object in the right angle..

I normally wouldn’t post a link to download any of my friends dj work, cd’s etc but I had to share this kick ass mix that a group named “Hybrid” did on Frisky Radio (Dec 12, 2006). Its a link to a torrent site which I’m not 100% sure but is run buy a few DJ’s them selves allowing for the release of their mixes.. Apple iPhone Link

Well their has been allot of speculation as to what this device might look like over the last 6 months and today it was finally shown to the world. I have to say my jaw hit the floor when I was watching the mac keynote today. This is everything I have wanted in a phone with a slim form factor, nice design, big screen and touch sensitive screen.

I have been an owner of many pocket pc’s and then eventually a pocket pc smart phone but this puppy blows the competition to pieces.

Motorola, Samsung and anyone else who has made phones int he past take note today is the day things changed.

So what do I like about this phone. Well first of all the small form factor but with a big screen really works well in the design and videos i have seen. The GUI is beautiful and the software packaged with the device seems to flow flawless with Apples true design skills.

Is it a mp3 player, video player, internet browser, gps google maps, sms, email and weather? it sure is and im sure more surprises will come out. Apple says with video , talk time or internet browsing you will get about 5 hrs of battery life which isnt to bad. Seems like itunes will get a upgrade and you will be able to sync your music, videos, photos, podcasts and contacts over on either your PC of Mac.. which I good cause i dont own a mac..
